Construction & Cost

Design, weight, quality of yarn, count, fibre of yarn, size, dyes etc are all considerations that will effect price. Sweaters, as everyone knows come in a variety of styles ie can be round necked, V necked, polo necked, long sleeved,  short sleeved or sleeveless, may have straight shoulders or designed shoulders, may have pockets, buttons, embroidery, labels etc. All of these are considerations to be given, but there are, as many might not know, differences in dyes, tension, rib construction etc which will effect the overall look, durability and  price. One of the most annoying things about sweaters is when the collar and sleeves stretch out irregularly, disfiguring the entire garment and rendering it un-wearable and useless.
