Construction & Cost

Most people do not realise when they buy a pair of jeans that there is a difference in one type of denim from an another. It might be obvious that denims come in various weights, which is usually measured in oz per sq. yd, and similarly the different colours may be noticeable. But characteristics differ in how a denim is constructed and what it is made of. To put it simply, Denims could be made of  cellulose fibre, could be woven with lycra to give an elastic effect, could be 2 ply chinos, or blended, could be crosshatched or plain weaved. etc. Colours could be permanent or could have a used effect, could be tinted or even a running effect. In simple terms the construction cost of a denim garment would depend on what type of denim is used and the weight.
